Big Data Analytics and Applications BDA'19


The increasing use of Information Technology and IoT in our lives and the treatment of big volumes of data companies and governments have to face, is going to raise multiple challenges to researchers. Our community will have to find answers to questions like: what are the better solutions to manipulate and analyze large data sets, what are the appropriate mechanisms to transmit these data from one site to another?


The aim of BDA’19 is to bring together researchers, professors and students from around the world to present their latest ideas and research results within the scope of BDA’19. Original papers or extended versions of previous published papers are solicited in relevant areas including, but not limited to, the following:

Paper Submission and Guidelines

Authors are invited to submit paper abstract which resume the main contributions of their proposed work.  The abstract should identify the aspect of the work that will likely lead to productive discussions with workshop participants.

Only abstracts submitted in English will be reviewed. Abstracts must not exceed 500 words (excluding the title, authors and affiliations) and should follow the instructions on the following template (Abstract Template).

All abbreviations must be spelled out on first use. Please be clear in the stating a goal of relevance to Big Data Analytics and Applications. Outline the methods used or manner of investigation. Report the most salient results and conclusions or recommendations arising from the work. Do not include references or figures in the abstract.

Plenary Speakers 


The registration process begins once your abstract is accepted. It is mandatory for at least one author of an accepted abstract to register in order for the abstract to appear in the proceedings and included in the Technical Program. Registration Fee includes:

  • Workshop proceedings (USB)
  • DISP proceedings USB
  • Participation in all sessions of the Workshop
  • Participation in all sessions of the DISP Conference
  • E-Acceptance letter
  • E-Visa letter (if needed)
  • Certificate of Participation for the Workshop
  • Certificate of Participation for the DISP Conference
  • Conference Pads & Pens
  • Coffee break and lunch including: Arrival Tea, Coffee & Pastries, Mid-Morning Tea, Coffee & Biscuits, Finger Buffet Lunch, Afternoon Tea, Coffee &

Authors can chose the appropriate registration category to participate and attend the Workshop (eg. PhD student, lecturer, professor and listener). In addition, authors who cannot attend the Workshop can chose to register as virtual participant where they will be asked to submit a short video (10 to 15 Minute) to introduce the research presented in their work to the general public. These videos will be placed on the Workshop website up to two weeks before the Workshop, and will be played during the Workshop.

The workshop registration must be done two weeks after the acceptance notification through the online registration system. The registration fees are resumed in the following table:

To facilitate the registration of the authors, the registration system will be managed automatically. The workshop registration must be done through the online registration system using a corresponding link which will be sent to the authors during the registration process.

Our modest experience found many researchers CV’s do not include participation in one or many workshops, now it is your opportunity to improve your CV and background by attending this Workshop.  We are offering also a reasonable registration cost in order to help all students and researchers from around the world.
